Getting started
How do we get started with Infinite Tutors?
It starts with a free parent consultation: 20–30 minutes about your child, what is going well and what is not. We listen, then recommend a tutor, a structure and a starting point. You decide from there. We reply to every enquiry within one working day.
Is there any obligation after the consultation?
None. The consultation is exploratory, and many parents use it simply to think out loud about what their child needs. There is no obligation to proceed after the consultation, and if you do go ahead there is no minimum term to sign.
Who is Infinite Tutors best suited for?
We work with families whose children are capable but struggling to thrive due to exam pressure, low confidence, lack of focus, or ineffective study habits. We teach from upper primary and 11+ preparation through GCSE and A-level, in person across London and online across the UK and worldwide.
How much does tutoring cost?
From £85 an hour, depending on level and format; we’ll give you an exact quote at the consultation, before any commitment. There is no registration fee and no minimum term, and every programme includes your child’s Infinite Learning Profile and your own access to the Parent Dashboard.
Subjects and lessons
Which subjects do you cover?
Maths, biology, chemistry, physics, English language and literature, geography and economics, plus EAL and academic English for students preparing for UK schools. If the subject you need is not here, ask anyway; we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it well.
Do you support specific exam boards?
Yes. Our tutors work across all major UK exam boards, and we match your child to a tutor who knows their board, so practice questions, mark schemes and timing reflect the exam your child will actually sit. Tell us the board at the consultation if you know it.
How often are sessions?
Typically weekly, with flexibility to increase nearer exams. Many of the families we work with choose to start in Year 10, allowing time to build confidence, close gaps, and prepare calmly for Year 11. The same logic holds for 11+ and A-level: start earlier, prepare calmly.
Tutors and matching
Are tutors DBS checked?
Yes. All tutors are DBS checked and vetted before they work with any family, and selected for subject depth and experience across the major UK exam boards. If you have safeguarding questions, ask at the consultation and we will walk you through exactly how we vet.
How are tutors matched to students?
We choose your child’s tutor against their Infinite Learning Profile: subject, exam board, learning needs, pace and personality, then availability. Every tutor is trained in the Infinite Teaching System, so lessons follow one method rather than one tutor’s habits, and your child’s tutor is briefed on the Profile before the first session.
What is the Infinite Learning Profile?
A short assessment your child completes before lessons begin: exam-board-aligned questions that show what they know, marked automatically, and a questionnaire that shows how they study, focus and remember. You receive a report of strengths, gaps and the strategies most likely to move their grades. It is not a diagnostic tool; it guides tutor matching and re-runs at term boundaries.
Learning support and wellbeing
Do you work with neurodivergent students?
Yes; many of our students have ADHD, are autistic, or have dyslexia or dyscalculia. Every tutor is trained by psychotherapist Hannah Kosky (MA, MBACP), and sessions are paced to how your child focuses best: shorter working bursts, predictable structure, reduced cognitive load, no surprises. Many families come to us specifically for this.
Do you support students with exam stress or anxiety?
Yes. Exam stress is one of the most common reasons families call us. Tutors work on confidence, organisation and managing pressure alongside the subject itself: how to revise, how to pace a paper, what to do when a question goes wrong. We identify patterns in mistakes and fix them systematically, week by week.
My child is already exhausted. Won’t tutoring add pressure?
Sessions are designed to take pressure off. We start with how your child learns, through the Infinite Learning Profile, so lessons meet them where they are instead of piling on more content. Sessions are structured, calm, and purposeful, and every tutor is trained to steady a child who panics and to rebuild confidence in one who has quietly given up.
Online, in person and the Parent Dashboard
Do you offer online tutoring?
Yes. Lessons run live over video with the same tutors, the same method and the same reporting. Your tutor writes a report after every lesson and it appears in your Parent Dashboard wherever you are, and assessments are taken online and marked automatically, so progress is as visible from Dubai as from Chelsea.
Do you offer in-person tutoring?
Yes – in person across Kensington, Chelsea and nearby London, depending on tutor availability, and online everywhere else. We are based on Gloucester Road, SW7, so for many local families lessons happen at home. Tell us your postcode at the consultation and we will confirm who can come to you.
We’re in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Do the lesson times work?
Comfortably. London is three or four hours behind the Gulf, so a UK afternoon lesson lands in your child’s early evening, after school. Our tutors teach the UK curriculum across the major exam boards, including for families at British international schools, and you can reach us on WhatsApp at +44 7931 793164.
What do I see in the Parent Dashboard?
Lesson reports written by your child’s tutor after every session, coach reports, and assessment results as they build term on term, behind your own login. There is no chasing for updates and no waiting for parents’ evening to find out how things are really going.
When do lesson reports arrive?
Your tutor writes a report after every lesson and it appears in your Parent Dashboard the same evening. Assessment results are marked automatically and appear as soon as your child finishes, and the Infinite Learning Profile refreshes at term boundaries, so you see a term’s change as well as a week’s.
